Corbières
Corbieres is a French AOC for wine. It is the Languedoc-Roussillon's largest appellation and is responsible for almost half of the regions production. Corbieres is mostly a red wine-producing region though white and rose do account for some of the wines. Grenache, Syrah,Mourvedre and Carignan make up the majority of plantings. Because Corbieres is home to an enormous variety of terroirs, the wines are difficult to lump into one style, though examples are usually dense, herbal, and spicy. (Wine/Appellations)
