Castilla Y Leon
Castilla y Leon, also referred to on a label as Tierra de Castilla y Leon, is a small wine zone in north central Spain, north of Madrid. This is a large autonomous region that contains six DOs, the two most famous being Ribera del Duero and Rueda. While these are primarily red wine zones (Ribera del Duero is all red), there is a bit of white wine produced from Rueda with the Verdejo variety. (Wine/Appellations)
