Sangiovese del Rubicone is produced in the Rubicon Valley in the Emilia-Romagna region of central Italy. The Rubicon Valley is historically significant as it is believed that Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon river in 49 BC. Today it is notable producer of wines for the dinner table.
