Samson
Samson is a compact viticultural zone in Israel on the eastern edge of the Mediterranean. The region is named after the biblical character that frequented the area. The biggest producer of Samson wines is Carmel Winery, established by Baron Edmund de Rothschild of Bordeaux fame. Cultivation is focused mainly on international grape varieties such as Carignan, Grenache, Muscat Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Chardonnay.
