Moulin-a-Vent
Moulin-a-Vent is named after a historic windmill that has become the symbol of the area. The region's vineyards contain a good deal of granite and quartz and Moulin-a-Vent has a deserved reputation for producing the fullest-bodied, most-tannic, and most age-worthy wines in Beaujolais. These wines have shown the ability to develop for up to ten years in bottle and have earned this commune the moniker of the "King of Beaujolais."
