Marche Igp
The Marche IGT refers to wines made anywhere in the Marche region, situated in central eastern Italy, on the border with the Adriatic Sea. Wines here include whites made from Verdicchio and Pecorino, and reds produced from Sangiovese and Montepulciano. As these wines are labeled as IGT, they would fall outside the classic DOPs of this region, such as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi or Rosso Conero. Few of these wines are seen outside of region or exported.
