While there are a few spirits produced in Guyana, including cream liqueur, the country's spirit industry is all about rum, rum and more rum. There are the usual styles, from white to "navy" or "sailor's" rum as well as añejo, aged for up to five years. There is even a vatted rum that is blended from the best sugar cane stock and exported to Scotland. These are creamy with flavors of chocolate and toffee and are wonderful sipping rums.
