Rose is the French word for pink table wine, now commonly used all over the world. Rose winemaking traditionally involves direct pressing of red grapes or a short period of skin contact to extract color and tannin. The two less traditional methods of production are blending finished red wine into a finished white wine or using charcoal treatments to remove the color from red wine.
