Ethyl Acetate
Ethyl acetate has the unmistakable and objectionable aroma of nail polish remover. In beer the culprit of this flaw is usually wort composition and yeast growth. In wine it's sometimes due to wounded grapes prematurely and volitiley fermenting and that alcohol converting to acetic acid. (Wine,Beer,Spirits,Sake,Mead/Tasting Terms Chemistry & Flaws)
