Chambourcin is a red French hybrid grape that was developed in the early 1960s. It is planted in several states in the eastern US; the top examples come from New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York; there are also examples made in Australia, where it sometimes is blended with Shiraz.
