A number of spirits are produced in Switzerland including vodka, gin, aquavit and whiskey. Probably the most famous exported Swiss spirit is absinthe, the infamous spirit made from wormwood and anise. Goldschlager, a clear distilled beverage with gold flakes floating in the bottle, is another well-known Swiss spirit (although today it is made in Italy.)
