Regional US Southwest & West Reviews

High Lonesome Vineyard 2017 Mourvedre
92 points
$32
Dusty ruby color. Aromas and flavors of cranberry sauce, lingonberry preserves, geranium, juniper, and iris with a satiny, vibrant, fruity medium body and a seamless, complex, medium-long finish with notes of sun-dried tomato and pomegranate. A spicy, floral and exotic Mourvedre; an Arizona wine that proves sommeliers should be taking note of the region.
High Lonesome Vineyard 2018 Lemberger
88 points
$29
Light siam color. Aromas of ripe blackberries, blueberry jam, tomato jam, and hint of tarragon with a soft, bright, fruity light body and a smooth, brisk baked plums finish with no oak flavor. A soft and fruity berry-centric wine.
