Algodon Wine Estates 2012 PIMA Argentina
95 points
Garnet black color. Inviting aromas and flavors of chocolate nut bar, olives, and pickled cherries with a satiny, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a seamless, complex, very long finish with overtones of dried berries, pomegranate herb vinaigrette, smoked nuts, and earth with fine, chewy tannins and moderate oak flavor. A silky, stately red blend that entices and delights the palate into another sip.

Garnet black color. Aromas and flavors of blackberry pie a la mode, gherkin and cocktail onion, chocolate toffee, and conditioned leather with a velvety, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a warming, compelling, medium-long finish with impressions of roasted root vegetables, berry reduction, and grilled peppers with fine, chewy tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor. A sumptuous and elegant red blend with a deep core of robustly savory flavors.
Algodon Wine Estates 2015 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Ruby black color. Aromas and flavors of dark berries, white peppercorn and rock salt, and rhubarb-mulberry coulis with a supple, bright, dryish medium body and an odd, medium-long finish with nuances of pickled beets with leafy tannins and moderate oak flavor. A food-friendly Cabernet with great minerality.

Ruby black color. Aromas of smoked nuts and grilled berries with an vibrant, dryish medium body and a tingling, amusing, medium mocha, sun dried tomatoes, roasted beets, and spiced nuts finish with well-integrated, medium tannins and light oak flavor. A dry and savory malbec that will shine at the table.
