Great Leap Brewing "Honey Ma" Gold Ale
93 points
Brilliant golden amber color. Bright, fruity, spicy aromas and flavors of pepper jelly on rye toast, spice cake, and corn pudding with a satiny, vibrant, effervescent, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, complex, medium-length finish that exhibits notes of pepper bread toast, mixed peppercorns, and radish finish. A delightfully appetizing and savory ale with delicate peppery spiciness that is meshed perfectly.

Clear golden amber color. Bright, green, hoppy musty aromas and flavors of fresh oregano and herbs, salty pretzel bread, honeyed roasted citrus, and hint of cannabis with a soft, vibrant, fizzy, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, stimulating, medium-long finish with nuances of bitter greens, grilled pepper, and grapefruit peel finish. A nice snappy, herbal, citrusy IPA in the classic west coast style.

Opaque brown black color. Lively, roasted aromas and flavors of coffee, nuts, and cocoa with an even, soft, effervescent, off-dry medium body and a seamless, interesting, medium-long finish that shows accents of chocolate cherry bon bons finish. A very tasty chocolatey stout.

Golden amber color. Delicate, buttery, fruity herbal hoppy aromas and flavors of citrus custard tart, lemon herb muffin, and dried mango with a lean, vibrant, fizzy, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a tingling, amusing, cheery finish with suggestions of catsup, roasted corn, pie pilling, and pepper finish. More like a hoppy, easy-drinking barleywine.
