Although Cognacs are rarely vintage-dated, there are a few examples that state the age of the cognac inside the bottle. These examples, such as 12 year or 21 year, meaning that the youngest Cognac component in the blend was aged at least the number of years stated on the label. These are quite aromatic, richly flavored, and smooth with floral perfumes and notes of anise and vanilla. Like X.O. and Luxury Cognacs, these are richly flavored and should be sipped after dinner, with or without a cigar.
