Dark garnet color. Aromas and flavors of chocolate and cranberry, cedar, spicy tobacco, and dried orange peel with a velvety, crisp, dryish medium body and a warming, interesting, medium-length finish that exhibits shades of cherry chocolate, cigar box, pepper, and cedar and pine tea with earthy, dusty tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor. Nice acid and good structure with a lingering spice; pair with a black pepper dry rubbed steak.
