Brown brick red color. Aromas and flavors of lavender, violets, and dried rose, dark chocolate ganache, baked strawberry with red and black cherry, and beet salad with a round, tangy, bone-dry medium-to-full body and a warming, complex, medium-long finish with suggestions of baked strawberry with red and black cherry, sauteed mushrooms and forest floor, tobacco, and chocolate and baking spice with well-integrated, medium, coating, fine tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor. A seriously good wine as poured today, but there is so much complexity here that a decade of aging and integration will only further improve this wine that has the potential to be outstanding.
