Regional Salice Salentino
Serve in a Zinfandel Wine Glass
Salice Salentino is a red wine from the southern Italian region of Puglia. Named for the eponymous town, the wine is made primarily from the Negroamaro grape. Medium-full, these wines feature black cherry fruit and distinct spice with ripe, forward fruit. Classic versions are meant for enjoyment within three to five years, while riservas can drink well for a decade or so. Pair with most red meats and grilled foods.
Though not as common, there are white and rosé versions as well.
