Serve in a White Wine Glass
Pouilly Fuisse is a white wine from the Burgundy region in France. Produced from vineyards in the Maconnais district of southern Burgundy, Pouilly Fuisse is a medium to medium-full dry white with moderate oak flavors and good acidity.
While it is lighter in body than many other famous white Burgundies, it is often priced a bit high, given its quality. This has to do with the name recognition, as this was a very popular white wine in the 1980s and 1990s. Today, its popularity has declined, although there are some notable versions.
Consume a Pouilly Fuisse from three to seven years of age and pair with just about any type of seafood, lighter poultry and light white meats.
