Serve in a Rosé Wine Glass
Tavel is one of the world's benchmarks of rosé wines, the other being Provence rosé. The wines are generally made from red Syrah and Cinsualt using a combination saignée (fermenting early, pink free-run juice from the red grapes' maceration) and more extended skin contact of the must with the red grape skins. This vinification technique gives the wines more richness, tannins, and a very distinctive orange-amber color.
