Pale silvery pink color. Aromas and flavors of fresh peanut butter on apple slices with a silky, crisp, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a smooth, interesting, medium-long finish displaying impressions of strawberry and lime spritzed melon with fine, fruit tannins and no oak flavor. A bright, crystalline rose with an intriguing nutty dimension; will be fun to pair with.

Vin de Pays Rosé are rosé wines that are designated as a Vin de Pays or country wine from one of about 50 different departments (territories) in France. One of the most popular of these is Vin de Pays d'Oc from the Languedoc-Roussilon area in southern France, while Vin de Pays Vignobles de France represents the entire winemaking territories of France.

There are several red varieties that can be used to make a Vin de Pays Rosé, which are produced with minimal skin contact, as with most rosés. These varieties include Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

These rosés are light to medium-bodied and generally are dry or off-dry with moderate tannins and an earthy finish. Pair with simple bistro food such as salads or roast chicken.
