Pinot Bianco is the most widely planted white variety in the northern Italian region of Alto Adige. The typical version is steel-aged with aromas dominated by fresh apples along with notes of melon, pear and white flowers. Special offerings from older vineyards or the best plantings are richer on the palate and often riper, sometimes with aromas of tropical fruit; some of these are given a brief aging period in wood.

Drink these wines, depending on the style from two to ten years; they are especially excellent paired with lighter seafood and risotto.
