Gold color. Aromas and flavors of toasted caramel grains, Hawaiian bread, roasted cashew, and orange with a velvety, lively, spritzy, dry medium body and an effortless, delightful, carefree finish revealing notes of toasted cornbread, orange and pineapple, and caramel. A terrific Mexican Lager with deceptive complexity; enjoy the delightful balance of mild fruit notes and refreshing bitterness.

Mexican Style Lager

Mexican style lagers are very light straw in color and range in alcohol from 4-5%. These lagers are clean, crisp, and light in body and flavor with low-to-no detectable hop or malt aromas. In addition to malt, most of these beers contain flaked maize for up to 40% of the grain bill. These beers originated in the Mexico as versions of the pilsner style, utilizing flaked maize as an economical malt substitute. Today, Mexican Style Lagers such as Modelo, Pacifico and Corona are ubiquitous. Craft breweries in the USA and beyond have started emulating these lagers by using flaked maize, but its also common to find Pale Lagers with lime flavor added to be labeled as a "Mexican Style Lager".
