2011 BTI Packaging Competition Results

In the highly competitive beverage market, packaging has never been more important. Buyers are continually challenged by increasingly clever and innovative concepts. Creative packaging draws attention to brands on crowded shelves and back bars, showcases a brand’s personality, and invites consumers to indulge. So at the end of every year, we at the Beverage Testing Institute put down our tasting glasses and invite a select panel of on-and-off premise beverage buyers and managers, packaging designers, and journalists to judge not what’s in the bottle, but the bottle itself.   more >>

BTI Welcomes Ron Montonera as its new Sales and Marketing Director

Ron_Montonera Beverage Testing Institute Appoints Ron Montonera as Sales & Marketing Director

The Beverage Testing Institute has named Ron Montonera as Director of Sales & Marketing.  In the newly created role, Ron has multi-faceted goals for the 30-year old beer, wine, and spirits review company.  He will continue to build upon the BTI brand by increasing the volume of beverage review services in both the Wine and Spirits Division.    From a more strategic perspective, he will take a proactive approach in understanding the changing needs of marketing in the beverage industry.  “Given its huge customer base, BTI has a wealth of resources for obtaining information in the market”.  He is especially focused on working with the trade in the development of marketing programs that create consumer pull using the BTI brand;   “BTI is a pioneer in alcoholic beverage review services with a database rivaling the largest in the industry along with the distinct advantage of rapid turnaround time for its services.  BTI finds itself in a position to showcase its well-established history and bring its name to the forefront without being a newcomer”.  He also sees an opportunity to take the organization deeper into the social media avenue.       

Ron comes to BTI with a unique background.  His most recent position was at Tastings Import Company as a Regional Sales Manager where he developed new territories in the Great Plains and New England markets.   more >>
