Serve in a Port Wine Glass
A 10 Year Old Tawny is a style of tawny port aged in wood. Although it is believed that the average age of the wine in the bottle is 10 years or more, this is not a legal definition. It is the youngest of the four age-indicated Tawny Ports (the others being 20, 30 and 40), all from the Douro region of Portugal.
These ports have a ruby red or light tawny hue and have a rich, round finish with a light nuttiness. Generally medium-sweet, these have a slight raisiny quality, Enjoy on their own or with lighter almond or nut pastries or with fruit tarts.
