Aromas and flavors of chocolate covered blackberry, plum sauce, mushrooms, and wet saddle leather with a satiny, bright, dry medium body and a tingling, appealing, medium-length finish with accents of red plum, leather and tobacco leaf, red berries, and black tea. A high toned Merlot with well integrated tannins that would pair well with a brisket or cassoulet.

Vin de Pays Merlot are everyday examples of Merlot, most frequently from districts in the south, such as the Languedoc or the Cotes du Roussillon. These Merlots are light to medium-bodied, with simple flavors of plum and berry fruit, good acidity, soft tannins and usually an herbal or spicy finish.
