Pale bright golden straw color. Waxy aromas and flavors of orange oil, lemon pith, jasmine, and pineapple skin with a round, racy, dry medium-full body and a warming, compelling, medium-long finish conveying notes of lemon zest, honey, lime peel, ginger, and celery seed with fine tannins. Portuguese White

Serve in a White Wine Glass
The most famous white wine from Portugal is vinho verde, literally "green wine." Produced from an array of indigenous varieties such as Arinto and Trajadura, these wines have a very slight petillance and are light to medium-bodied, offering fresh fruit and floral aromatics with notes of apple, lemon and lilacs. Enjoy these wines in their youth as an aperitif or with Asian cuisine.

Other white wines from Portugal include those made from international varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay as well as local cultivars such as Antao Vaz and Roupiero. These varieties account for a small amount of Portuguese white, but tend to be richer and with more aging capability than vinho verde.
