Dusty garnet color. Aromas and flavors of dried rose and potpourri, teriyaki, baked cherry, and mole sauce on beef jerky, raspberry leaf, and blueberry syrup with a round, tangy, bone-dry medium-to-full body and a warming, nuanced, medium-length finish revealing notes of red and black fruit, fruit and pepper spice landjager, and leather and oaky baking spices with chewy, woody tannins and light oak flavor. Bold but with finesse and layers of flavor.

While Portugal is best known for its production of Port wines, there are several types of red wine also produced in various regions. The best known of these include the robust reds produced from varieties that are used to produce Port, varieties such Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cao. These wines are produced in the Dour Valley and are ripe with black fruit flavors; the wines generally have slightly low acidity, due to the hot local climate.
