Gold color. Aromas and flavors of molasses and five spice rubbed burnt ends, peat fire, antiseptic gauze, and heavily smoked chocolate dipped orange with a lively, dry medium-to-full body and a warming, interesting, medium-length finish with notes of chocolate covered orange, burnt ends or maple bacon, singed toffee, and vanilla creme brulee. Smoky without being too over the top, this Whiskey still has prominent fruit flavors and a rich sweetness.

Islay is an island off the west coast. Traditional Islay malt whiskies are intensely smoky and pungent in character with a distinctive iodine or medicinal tang that is said to come from sea salt permeating the local peat that is used to dry the barley malt.
