93 • Hagafen 2007 Mayeri Vineyard, White Riesling, Napa Valley $24.  Kosher
Pale golden color. Orange blossoms, pistachio nougat, and waxy green apple aromas follow through on a round entry to tangy, fruity medium body with great depth and balance. Finishes with a long, melange of stone, citrus, and autumnal fruit fade. Deliciously fruity and sure to please as a sipper or at the table with spicy Chinese cuisine. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)

Silvery yellow color. Ripe golden delicious apple, casaba melon, and clementine aromas follow through on a smooth, silky entry to a fruity medium body with an attractive orange blossom honey note. Finishes with a long, tangy minerality and nectarine pulp accented fade. A nicely styled off-dry sipper. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)

Golden silver color. Fruit gum wrapper, butterscotch praline, melon, and well used rubber eraser aromas. A soft, brisk entry leads to a foursquare, fruity medium body with papaya, tangerine and lemon pith notes. Finishes with a drying, powdery fruit tannin fade. Nice fruitiness. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)

Golden straw color. Beeswax, apple butter, and nougat aromas follow through on a crisp entry to a dryish light-to-medium body with vibrant acidity and green apple skin flavors coming to the fore. Finishes with a tart, riverbed like minerality. A nice dry aperitif, or serve with oysters. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)

Pale straw color. Caramel apple, waxy grapefruit, and peach jam aromas follow through on and bright round entry to a balanced, dryish light-to-medium body with nice lemon zest notes. Finishes with a tangy, snappy green apple and citrus rind fade. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)

Silvery straw color. Rather shy yeasty cheese rind, balsa, and apple butter aromas follow through on a sharp entry to a dryish light-to-medium body with crabapple and nutshell accents. Finishes with a somewhat green apple core, aspirin, and grape seed fade. Give this a little timeĀ–drink in winter 2007 and beyond. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)

Golden color. Caramel apple, nut oil, and faint spice aromas. A soft, supple entry leads to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with of green pear, nectarine, canola oil, and pepper. Finishes with tart, somewhat hollow citrus rind and pepper fade. (tasted on Sep-02-2008)
