Garnet black color. Fruity, floral, attractive aromas and flavors of spiced blueberries and loganberries, chocolate toffee, and orange blossoms with a silky, vibrant, fruity medium-to-full body and an effortless, delightful, medium-long finish evoking notes of mocha gelato, spiced nuts, and cedar with crunchy, chewy tannins and moderate oak flavor. A delightfully fruity, floral, and spicy red that is sure to please.

Other Austrian Red

While white wines are predominant in Austria, there are several excellent red produced there as well. These include such wines as Zweigelt, Blaüfrankisch, Blauburger and St. Laurent. While each of these wines have their own particular characteristics, Austrian reds in general have rather high acidity (especially for red wines) along with a spicy herbal edge, along with varying degrees of tannins. Most can be aged for five to ten years and demand food, especially heartier fare such as game or beef.
