Ruby black color. Dusty aromas of earth, black cassis, mulling spices, and grilled bread with black pepper with a supple, bright, fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, breezy soft plum skin, dried fig, pinecone, and overripe strawberry finish with coating, fine, fruit tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor. A winter-ready wine full of spiced fruit flavors.

Zweigelt

Zweigelt is the most widely planted red grape in Austria and produces a rich, almost peppery wine with ripe cherry flavors and balanced acidity. Tannins for most examples are firm and most wines are aged in oak. Pair these wines with pork game birds and stews. There are also some notable examples of Zweigelt Rosé, which are quite dry.
