Yellow straw color. Fresh, fruity aromas and flavors of nougat, peach meringue, spiced pear skin, and wet stones with a silky, racy, fruity medium body and a tingling, stimulating, medium-long finish with elements of cedar and birch, bbq rub, kiwi, and pepper with fine tannins. A nice zippy Arneis with tangy fruit and balancing minerality; will be great with shellfish.

Piedmont Arneis

Serve in a White Wine Glass
Arneis is a white wine from Piedmont, produced from the eponymous grape. The word Arneis in local dialect is loosely translated as "rascal"; this name was given to Arneis as it was a bit of a mystery to growers for many years. Production began in the mid 1960s and today, this is among Italy's most popular whites.

Medium-bodied and generally aged in steel tanks, Arneis has melon, pine and apple flavors, good acidity and freshness. The leading zone for the wine is Roero, while there are also versions of Arneis from the Langhe district.

Consume within three to five years and pair with lighter seafood, risotto and lighter poultry dishes.
