Hopster’s Brewing The Englishman ESB
87 points
Hazy golden brown color. Aromas and flavors of warm butter toffee, peanut, broccoli florets, raw squash, and endive with a satiny, crisp, effervescent, dry light-to-medium body and a tingling, delightful, medium-length finish that presents suggestions of dried leaves, hint of coffee, and dark toast finish. A warming, nutty ESB with a crisp and bitter finish.
Hopster’s Brewing Comet Citra NE IPA
85 points
Cloudy old gold color. Aromas of dried mango, pineapple chutney, lemon balm, orange drink, and dried apricot with a silky, bright, effervescent, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, relaxed clementine zest, water cracker, and basil finish. A solid NIPA with piles of citrus and tropical aromas.
Hopster’s Brewing Comet Mosiac NE IPA
85 points
Hazy golden amber color. Floral aromas of valencia orange marmalade, bechamel, fresh tobacco, cracked peppercorns, and fine soap with a satiny, vibrant, spritzy, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a seamless, interesting, medium-length wildflowers finish. A zingy IPA with floral high notes.
Bofferding Brune Ale
84 points
Brilliant reddish mahogany color. Aromas of toasted focaccia, fallen cherry, gingerbread, and dried fig with a slightly chewy, crisp, spritzy, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a tingling, interesting, medium-length pumpkin pie, cinnamon, red apple shrub, and ground walnut finish. A sessionable, toasty Flanders style ale that could be a nice companion to holiday meals.
