Clear gold color. Meaty, toasty aromas and flavors of ham on rye, cooked peas and corn, and coriander with a slightly chewy, bright, dryish medium-to-full body and a silky, cheery finish evoking notes of dried flowers and citrus, yeasty cookie dough, honey cream, and oat cake finish. A chewy, abbey single with savory table appeal.

Trappist or Abbey Singel

Trappist or abbey style singels are golden to light amber in color and range in alcohol from 5-6.5%. Also referred to as “patersbier” or “father’s” beer, these ales are rarely available commercially and are the beers monks have traditionally brewed for their own table and daily consumption. While there is no real style definition for these beers, they are usually highly refreshing and feature fruity and spicy Belgian yeast-driven flavors and aromas. This style is rarely available commercially.
