Cloudy amber color. Citrusy, earthy aromas and flavors of honeyed citrus peels, lemongrass, herb sourdough baguette, and okra and artichoke with a slightly chewy, racy, effervescent, dryish medium-to-full body and a peppery, long finish revealing shades of roasted root vegetables, wilted spinach, white pepper, and pine finish. A brash, peppery, and somewhat rustic Belgian IPA for the table.

Belgian style IPAs are deep gold to amber in color and range in alcohol from 6-8%. A marriage of pale malt, American hops and Belgian yeast, Belgian-style IPAs are one of the more recent styles quickly gaining recognition. While commonly deemed too bitter for Belgian audiences, these beers are quickly gaining popularity in the US. While the style is still in development, it is typically high in alcohol, and can be thought of as a hybrid of an American IPA and Belgian-style Tripel. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Stone Cali-Belgique IPA, Samuel Adams Grumpy Monk Belgian IPA and Flossmoor Station Hop Central.
