Brilliant amber color. Herbal, citrusy aromas and flavors of grilled grapefruit, fresh oregano, and herbal pizza crust with a satiny, racy, finely carbonated, dryish medium-to-full body and a peppery, interesting, long finish with suggestions of peppered citrus, pine, and grass finish. A robust, hop-forward Belgian styled IPA.

Belgian Style IPA

Belgian style IPAs are deep gold to amber in color and range in alcohol from 6-8%. A marriage of pale malt, American hops and Belgian yeast, Belgian-style IPAs are one of the more recent styles quickly gaining recognition. While commonly deemed too bitter for Belgian audiences, these beers are quickly gaining popularity in the US. While the style is still in development, it is typically high in alcohol, and can be thought of as a hybrid of an American IPA and Belgian-style Tripel. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Stone Cali-Belgique IPA, Samuel Adams Grumpy Monk Belgian IPA and Flossmoor Station Hop Central.
