Old gold color. Roasted, green aromas and flavors of honey roasted sweet potatoes, toasted herbs and bread, veggie omelet, and grass with a supple, tangy, spritzy, sourish medium-full body and a swift succotash, mustard greens, peppered jicama and lemon finish. A dry, dank, and somewhat vegetal IPL for the table.

Imperial pilsners are light amber to deep gold in color and range in alcohol from 7.5-8.5%. These beers are medium to full-bodied and are characterized by a sweet malty flavor and subtle hop character. Although the name implies this beer is an “imperial” version of the pilsner style, beers in this category are actually closer in character to maibocks/hellesbocks. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Rogue Morimoto Imperial Pilsner, Rahr & Sons Pecker Wrecker Imperial Pils, Stevens Point Whole Hog Imperial Pilsner and Dogfish Head My Antonia.
