88 • Karl Infuhr 2003 Brut Excellent, Gruner Veltliner, Weinviertel $20.
Brilliant straw with a lively mousse and persistent stream of small bubbles. Citrus, bread, jasmine and yeast aromas. Medium-full, this has a lovely aroma and nicely defined fruit. Only a slightly short finish prevents this from scoring higher. (tasted on Nov-16-2004)
85 • Karl Infuhr NV Chardonnay-Pinot Noir Extra Brut, Austria $18.
Pale yellow-gold hue. Bready, creamy aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with rounded, fruity flavors that linger through a smooth, yeast accented finish. A soft and creamy sparkling wine with relatively low acidity. (tasted on Oct-01-2001)
84 • Karl Infuhr 2001 Extra Brut, Chardonnay-Pinot Noir, Austria.
Brilliant straw hue with light mousse. Pear and lemon aromas. A medium-bodied palate leads to a clean, fruit finish with moderate acidity and persistency. (tasted on Oct-16-2002)
84 • Karl Infuhr 2004 Sekt Extra Brut, Chardonnay-Pinot Noir, Burgenland $20.

Pale straw green color. Crushed apple, pear, and peach blossom aromas. A frothy entry leads to a tangy light-to medium body of dried apple, lemon, and floral talc flavors. Finishes with a tart lemon marmalade and slightly rubbery and lightly bitter, mineral, and fruity gum wrapper fade. A good choice for scallops. (tasted on Nov-15-2006)
83 • Karl Infuhr 2004 Sekt Brut, Chardonnay-Pinot Noir, Austria $14.
Brilliant straw-yellow hue with a lively mousse. Apple peel, lemon rind and yeast aromas. Medium-bodied, this has moderate depth of citrus fruit and an earthy, short finish with balanced acidity. (tasted on Nov-15-2005)
