Deep garnet violet color. Very pure aromas of mashed raisins follow through on a round, supple entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with excellent evenness of flavor and a hint of cocoa and peppery spice. Finishes with a smooth, chewy tannin fade. A certain star at the table that should cover a lot of bases. (tasted on Nov-16-2009)

Pale straw color. Aromas of caramelized pear and starfruit have an anise and mint edge and follow through on a round entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with tart taffy apple and sweet lemon notes. Finishes with a crisp, appetizing twang. A very nice food wine to pair with grilled fish, fried calamari or chicken piccata. (tasted on Nov-16-2009)
