93 • Jarvis 2007 "Will Jarvis' Science Project", Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley $105. Cellar Selection.
Deep purple black color. Aromas of floral plum and black berry pie, dark chocolate, bacon, and Asian spices follow through on a round, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with nice depth and zesty pomegranate, roasted nuts, and praline finish. Very complex and alluring. (tasted on Jul-06-2009)

Deep purple color. Bright aromas of raspberry jam, white chocolate and mint follow through on a crisp, lively entry to a dryish medium body with tart cranberry, orange peel, and cedar notes. Finishes with a chewy, dusty tannin fade. (tasted on Jul-13-2009)

Rich aromas of currant, cocoa, and clay follow through on a round entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with toasted nuts, apple, chocolate covered orange, and craisin notes. Finishes with a crisp, wood toned finish. Very lively and tasty; pair with pheasant stew. (tasted on Jul-13-2009)

Deep garnet purple color. elegant blueberry, mocha, and roasted nut aromas follow through on a supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with a excellent depth and acidity. Finishes with a long, chewy, nutty tannin and spice fade. (tasted on Jul-13-2009)

Limpid ruby color. Aromas of cherry ice cream, toasted meringue, and clay follow through on a brisk entry to a dryish light-to-medium body with cherry skin and nutshell notes on the quick, pithy tannin fade. A touch thin, dilute, and typical for the varietal and AVA. (tasted on Jul-06-2009)
