Aromas of dried currants, black pepper, and nuts follows through on a round entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with vanilla, spice, and earth notes. Finishes with supple, tangy, oak kissed finish. A smooth, flavorful, but understated and elegant Old World styled Meritage. that will excel at the table. (tasted on Feb-10-2010)
92 • Rodney Strong 2006 "Symmetry" Meritage, Alexander Valley $55.
Deep garnet color. Aromas of ripe cherries, chocolate, pepper and dried violets jump from the glass follow through on a very smooth and supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-full body with excellent depth of tangy berry flavors. Finishes with a long, polished tannin fade. A great table with to pair with porterhouses. (tasted on Feb-10-2010)

Rich aromas of roasted pecans, chocolate, dried blueberries and tobacco follow through on a round, silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with great depth, smoothness and minerality. Finishes with a long, juicy, fine tannin fade. Excellent. (tasted on Feb-10-2010)

Ruby maroon color with a fading brick rim. Chocolate covered raspberry and blueberry aromas with a touch of roasted pepper and eucalyptus follow through on a supple entry to dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with roasted almond, craisin and peppery spice notes. Finishes with a tangy, oaky tannin fade. A fairly mature red that may need a little more time. Serve with well marbled steaks. (tasted on Feb-10-2010)
