Garnet violet color. Bright aromas of boysenberry pie, chocolate, and vanilla custard have a lush spiciness and follow through on a soft, plush entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body with good, even depth and a touch of pencil shavings. Finishes with a long, creamy silky tannin fade. A highly polished, very tasty sipper. (tasted on Feb-17-2010)

Inky purple color. Aromas of toasty cedar, vanilla, dill pickle, and lingonberry jam follow through on a soft, round entry to a dryish medium body with good depth and food affinity. Finishes in a toasty oak spice and craisin fade with rim chewy tannin. Pair with spicy Latin steaks. (tasted on Feb-17-2010)
