91 • Okunomatsu 2009 "G-2" Ginjo Sake $25/720ml. Best Buy.
Clear with a platinum blue cast. Bright aromas of lemon, pineapple, and creamy rice pudding follow through on a satiny entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-full body with great depth, creamy texture, and balance. Finishes with a long, radish, melon and honeyed nut accented fade. A vibrant, delicious and appetizing ginjo sake. (tasted on Jun-15-2010)
90 • Yoshinogawa "Gokujo" Ginjo $33/720ml.
Clear with a silvery cast. Mild aromas of melon rind and whipped cream follow through on a lively, buoyant entry to dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with notes of pear, plantain, and dried pineapple. Finishes with a drying touch of jicama and peppery radish. A very fresh, engaging and dynamic ginjo that will pair well with spicier sushi. (tasted on Jun-15-2010)

Clear. Mild banana custard, nut, and rice cracker aromas follow through on a soft entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium body with banana pudding, crunchy Asian pear, and jicama notes on the spry, nutshell and chalk accented finish. A nicely crafted ginjo. (tasted on Jun-15-2010)
80 • Tozai "Well of Wisdom" Ginjo Sake $25/720ml.
Clear with nickel straw cast. Slightly sour melon yogurt, marshmallow, and musty shittake box aroma follow through on a brisk entry to a dryish medium body with nougat and jicama notes. Finsihes with a somewhat stale dish towel, old pineapple, and chalky mineral fade. (tasted on Jun-15-2010)
