Dark ruby with a fading rim. Aromas of cranberry compote, dill pickles, and ink with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a chewy, cocoa fudge, pepper, and fall leaves accented finish. Very nice varietal character. (tasted on Jan-20-2014)
