Bright ruby-cherry hue. Fresh, leafy, generous red cherry aromas are pure Russian River. A rich entry leads a weighty, full-bodied palate with focused cherry cordial flavors and a firm underlay of sweet oak. A weighty, stylish Pinot that shows good depth and appellation typicity. Will drink well in youth with hearty red meats. (tasted on Oct-03-2009)

Warming, oak-tinged finish. A heavyweight style with a rich core of fruit. Maintains a sense of structural balance that will allow for complexities to develop over the next three- to five-years. A firm entry leads a rounded, moderately full-bodied palate with supple tannins and prominent leathery, gamey flavors. Acidity freshens the finish.
