Off dry with sweet pear, apricot and ginger cake coupled with wet stones and refreshing sweet lemon acidity. Full of fruit balanced with fresh acidity and a fine mineral structure. Straw yellow color. Slightly smoky mineral led aromas of tart nectarine, lemon and green apple with a dryish light-to-medium body and a racy streak of acidity throughout. A great US version of the classic Austrian grape. (tasted on Sep-16-2013)

Lightly smoky aromas and flavors suggest hot spicy gherkins and grilled lemons with a silky, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a nice touch of baked apple and petrol-like minerality on the long finish. Flavors of apples, pear, yellow plums and lemon integrate beautifully with vanilla kissed oak. Subtle acidity, but well balanced and elegant. New world freshness with old world finesse.
