Garnet color. Aromas of mocha, black raspberry compote, and bacon follow through on a soft, silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with very good depth and raisin nut chutney and cracked pepper notes on the savory finish. Try with roasted game. (tasted on Sep-08-2009)

Deep ruby hue with a purplish cast. Warming, floral blackberry aromas have an integrated vanilla oak accent. A rich entry leads a big, weighty, full-bodied palate with grainy tannins ad good depth of flavor. Pure in style and lacking the jammy, overripe qualities typical of a wine this big (15.4%).
