93 • Prejean 2006 Estate Grown Semi-Dry, Riesling, Finger Lakes $11.99.
Straw color. Honeyed peach and ripe grapefruit aromas display a touch of minerality. A bright entry leads to a very tangy and fruity medium body of ripe peach, nectarine, and tangelo flavors with a long fruit and wet stone finish. A vibrant and brilliantly balanced, classically styled riesling that is a joy to drink. (tasted on Sep-26-2007)

Pale golden amber color. Notably smoky flint and diesel oil aromas. A vibrant entry leads to a tangy light-to-medium body of spicy honey, dried apricots and nectarine flavors. Finishes with great peach skin, candied ginger, and petrolly mineral fade. Very European in style with a great vibrancy for the table; pair with Thai and Szechwan cuisine. (tasted on Sep-26-2007)

Interesting aromas of white strawberries, melon, nectarine and cream. A vibrant entry leads to a tangy, fruit medium-full body of ripe peach and strawberry flavors with a delicately spicy finish. A beautifully styled and expressive viognier reminiscent of a fine Condrieu. (tasted on Aug-15-2007)
91 • Wente 2005 Riva Ranch, Chardonnay, Arroyo Secco $18.
Old gold color. Buttercream, toasted nut, meringue and baked apple aromas follow through to a rich, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body with a supple creamy smooth texture and excellent vibrancy of autumn and stone fruit flavors. Finishes with a long, fruit and mild spice fade. A great example of balance between oak and fruit in a California chardonnay. (tasted on Aug-15-2007)

Yellow golden color. A brisk, soft entry leads to a round, tangy medium body of tangerine, lemon marmalade, honeyed mint leaf, and herb flavors. Finishes with a long citrus, thyme, and mineral fade. Nice complexity and suppleness. (tasted on Aug-15-2007)

Golden color. Smoky rubber, burnt sugar, and roasted nut aromas. A forceful, lightly spritzy entry leads to a tart, fruity light-to-medium body of grapefruit, green apple, and warm rubber flavors. Finishes with a tangy creme brulee and smoky mineral fade. An intense and earthy riesling to pair with strong cheeses and game. (tasted on Aug-15-2007)

Finishes with a long tangy, mineral and smoky accented fade. Great fruit and acidity for the table with nice subtle complexity. Very nice! (tasted on Aug-15-2007)

Finishes with a long, tart citrus and mineral accented fade. Great vibrancy of pure, dry and zesty citrus flavors makes this a great choice for oysters and mussels. (tasted on Oct-03-2007)
