Deep amber copper color. Aromas of melted honeycomb, buttery caramelized nuts, dried pear, and peppery spice follow through on a soft, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-full body with peach creme brulee and golden raisin notes. Finishes with a long, creamy tropical fruit and oak spice fade. A lush, hedonistic Cognac for sipping (tasted on Feb-16-2010)

Complex aromas of ginger cookie, anise seed, fig bread, suede, praline and vanilla pudding follow through on a round, supple entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body with tangy dried citrus, cola, and cocoa notes. Finishes with a long, smooth, warming fade. A very elegant, nuanced and stylish XO. (tasted on Feb-16-2010)

Bright amber color. Aromas of roasted nuts, fig jam, caramel pear, leather, and spicy buttercream follow through on a soft, supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with layers of peppery spice, sassafras, dried flowers, and licorice. Finishes with a long, warming cocoa and mineral accented fade (tasted on Feb-11-2010)
90 • Landy "Numero 1" XO Cognac $119.99.
Bright copper color. Rich aromas of butter roasted pecans, gingerbread, and toffee follow through on a round, supple entry to a fruity, off-dry medium-to-full body with lots of honeyed and caramelized tropical citrus fruit, milk chocolate, ginger, and anise notes. Finishes with a long, spicy fruit and mineral accented fade. A bit, too sweet for the category, but very tasty nonetheless. (tasted on Feb-11-2010)
